*The food information for the festival site below is from last year’s (2025) festival, and the 2026 festival details are being updated.* Gimje Horizon Festival, the only traditional farming-culture festival among the honorary representative cultural tourism festivals designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, centers on Gimje Byeokgolje, the country’s oldest and largest irrigation facility. Alongside the President’s Cup National Nongak Competition held against the backdrop of the horizon, visitors can join hands-on farming culture programs such as cooking rice in an agungi hearth, catching grasshoppers, and harvesting rice, as well as traditional events like the Byeokgolje Legend Twin Dragon Play and the standing stone tug-of-war for a good harvest.
