Starting from the 1st Baekje Grand Festival, first held in Buyeo-gun in 1955, the Baekje Cultural Festival marks its 72nd edition this year as one of Korea's leading history-and-culture festivals. It has long promoted Baekje's brilliant culture and rich history, carrying forward the spirit and heritage of the ancestors in modern ways while strengthening local identity and pride. The 72nd Baekje Cultural Festival will take place for 9 days from 2026년 10월 3일(토) to 10월 11일(일) under the theme 'Beautiful Baekje, Glorious Sabi' across the Buyeo-eup downtown area. Centered on Jeongnimsa, Seoktap-ro, Uiyeol-ro, and the Gwanbuk-ri ruins, it will feature about 40 programs in 7 areas, including rituals and Buddhist offerings, a history-and-culture parade, performances, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and nightscape displays. This year, with the festival staged in Buyeo city center, it will run as an open festival where Baekje's history and culture come together with local businesses and everyday life, offering visitors a special cultural experience where past and present coexist.
