What happened

EXO members used a ladder-drawing game to assign an order, then jokingly formalized a “men’s promise” to come immediately when called—or shave their heads.

Why Koreans care

사다리타기 (“ladder riding”) is a familiar Korean method for randomly assigning chores, payments, or turns; here it also evokes EXO’s ladder-game travel content, which fans abbreviate as 엑사세. The deliberately short, loosely edited clip fits 자컨, fandom shorthand for an idol group’s self-produced content, where established member chemistry matters more than a polished premise.

In the Korean comments

Majority — Commenters treat Kyungsoo’s total disinterest, especially removing his own makeup while the others argue, as the central joke: “No matter what happens, our Mr. Do Gyeong-ja doesn’t say a single word… I can’t even gauge how little he cares.” Fandom — Fans read the simultaneous behaviors as “EXO-core,” meaning a perfectly recognizable snapshot of their established group roles: “Chanyeol runs the game alone, Jongin joins in teasing the leader, Junmyeon is happy just because he got first, Sehun chatters away, and Kyungsoo stays uninterested to the end—this is EXO-core.” Minority — Some comments ignore the game and focus purely on appearance: “At 2:16, wow… when Oh Sehun gets the close-up, his face is genuinely glowing.”

What the words mean

“Men’s promise” is mock-grandiose, not a serious Korean masculine oath: the members inflate a trivial scheduling agreement into a written pledge with an absurd shaved-head penalty. 금쪽이, used for Sehun, literally suggests a “precious child” but in current playful usage frames an adult as the group’s lovable, demanding troublemaker. 리더몰이 means collectively teasing or cornering the leader, not bullying him in the hostile sense.
