The World Heritage Festival is a cultural heritage festival staged at UNESCO World Heritage sites across the country, designed to reinterpret and experience the universal value of humanity’s shared heritage in a contemporary way. Hosted by the Korea Heritage Service and organized by the Korea Heritage Promotion Institute, it offers a wide range of programs including performances, hands-on activities, exhibitions, and seminars based on the history and meaning of each regional World Heritage site. In its 7th year, this year's festival will take place across the country, centered on the traces of ancient civilization found in the 'Gaya Tumuli', the striking volcanic landscapes of the 'Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes', and in Andong, where tradition and modern life coexist, the 'Sansa, Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea', 'Historic Villages of Korea', and 'Seowons, Korean Neo-Confucian Academies'. In places where the traces of time still live and breathe, the World Heritage Festival will offer a special experience that connects the heritage of the past with the joy of today.
