National Heritage Media Art Yeosu 2026 is a nighttime cultural event presenting Yeosu's national heritage and stories of Yi Sun-sin and the Jeolla Left Naval Command through media art. Running from October 9 to November 8, 2026, around Jinnamgwan, Gosodae, and Yi Sun-sin Square under the theme "Rebuilding Jinnamgwan in Light," the exhibition brings to life major sites' historical background and spatial character through video and illumination. Inspired by the Nanjung Ilgi, Yi Sun-sin's compassion for the people, and the legendary Geobukseon voyages, media art installations utilize Jinnamgwan's architecture, Gosodae's stele pavilion and heritage trees, and the Geobukseon model at Yi Sun-sin Square. Interactive programs feature an AI metahuman Yi Sun-sin, visitor photo experiences, and a stamp tour. Weekends offer hands-on activities and flea markets; the stamp tour visits Jinnamgwan, Taruvi, and the Geobukseon.
