BLACKPINK’s Jennie has people talking over her interactions with a star known for dating her close celebrity friend.

On October 8, Jennie joined The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) for a surprise appearance at his After Hours Til Dawn concert at Goyang Stadium. Together, they delivered the first-ever live performance of “One of the Girls,” their 2023 collaboration from HBO’s The Idol.
Clips of the pair’s “chemistry” soon went viral across social media among fans of both Jennie and The Weeknd, with many pointing out the way they leaned into each other and some even alleging that the pair were “grinding” on each other.
In particular, however, their closeness raised eyebrows because of The Weeknd’s known relationship with Simi Khadra — one half of the twin duo SimiHaze and a known friend of Jennie’s.
Khadra and Tesfaye were first spotted kissing in 2022 and have been seen together on multiple occasions since, even sparking engagement rumors last year. Earlier this year, fans began to speculate that the couple might have split up, though nothing has been confirmed.

But despite the BLACKPINK star’s friendship with Khadra, many found the chemistry between Jennie and The Weeknd undeniable.
The talk comes just one week after another celebrity friend of Jennie’s reignited dating rumors.
