I've always wondered lol, why do they give you a huge pork cutlet but only one spoonful of rice??
For real, they brought out one kid-sized scoop. Count me as one person who asked for a little more rice, got told it would cost extra, and decided never to go back.

The pork cutlet is the meal and the rice is just there because it would feel like something was missing, so I like it. But charging for extra rice when they give you that little... feels kind of stingy.
Whenever a post like this comes up, people who've worked at pork cutlet places always say most customers leave rice even when they only get that much. If you want more rice, you can order extra or get Japanese-style tonkatsu, I guess.
I'm firmly in the pork-cutlet-is-a-side-dish-for-rice camp, but after I started working, I realized there are so, so many people who don't eat the rice that comes with pork cutlet. Total culture shock... I check Naver reviews beforehand, and if a place serves one of those little scoops, I order a bowl of rice with it.
