영동난계국악축제

An annual cultural arts festival themed around gugak, the traditional Korean music and performing arts that are part of Yeongdong-gun’s cultural heritage, held to honor the musical achievements of 난계 박연선생 and help promote traditional culture and the arts. The 55th 영동난계국악축제 aims to showcase Korea’s gugak heritage worldwide and contribute to a second wave of Hallyu. As Korea’s only gugak festival, it also carries traditional culture and the arts into the modern day through a wide range of gugak performances and hands-on programs, while developing the festival as a local tourism resource with programs tailored to the region. It offers a place for local residents to raise their cultural level and come together through voluntary participation.
