But don’t people say both “I’m getting sleepy” and “I’m sleepy”...? Like, “Ughhh, why am I so sleepy...” and “Wow, I’m reaaally getting sleepy...” I use both, but apparently “I’m sleepy” sounds like you’re trying to act cute.
Apart from the ones about cars, sleep, and the expressway, these are niche expressions even in Gyeongsang-do. People don’t use them in everyday life. What is this about not saying you raise a dog?
You don’t say you get on and off the expressway.....? You don’t ask if someone brought the car...? You don’t say you’re making coffee?!?! Mind blown.
