Korean keeps popping up in dramas and ads... what’s going on in Japan?

Apparently, in an actual Japanese TV car commercial, a model says “It’s okay” in Korean, and there have even been Japanese dramas where the male lead naturally delivers lines in Korean.

We use a ton of Japanese words too—mochi, menhera, sando, all the time. It’d be unfair if we were the only ones doing it, so you guys should use plenty too.
Is it kind of like how we throw English into everyday speech? Like “follow me,” “it’s okay,” and “of course”?!
I’ve heard Korean culture fans in Japan use the Korean word jinjja a lot instead of maji.
