What happened

In a BOYNEXTDOOR clip, a speaker brings up taxis equipped for karaoke; the title adds that he has ridden one himself.

Why Koreans care

노래방 (noraebang, karaoke room) literally means “singing room.” In 노래방 택시 (noraebang taxi, karaoke taxi), it describes a taxi where passengers can sing rather than an ordinary ride to a karaoke venue.

In the Korean comments

One comment reads, in translation, “Hearing this made me immediately think of the music video,” while another says, “Han Taesan—and he even sang it himself.” The editing is part of the joke too: a top comment calls it “editing that doesn’t feel official,” and several others say they initially mistook the official upload for a fan post.

What the words mean

“한동민 알고리즘 까보자” (Han Dongmin algorijeum kkaboja, “Let’s expose Han Dongmin’s algorithm”) does not mean inspecting computer code. 까보자 (kkaboja, “let’s open it up”) is a casual, teasing call to reveal what his recommendation feed or viewing trail contains.
