The Jeungpyeong Ginseng Festival is Jeungpyeong-gun’s signature autumn festival, held every year in North Chungcheong Province. It brings together a wide range of cultural and arts performances, hands-on programs, exhibitions, and competitions as a full-scale cultural celebration. Jeungpyeong, which produces about two-thirds of Chungbuk’s ginseng and is known as the true home of ginseng, has long grown into a center of ginseng cultivation and distribution. Through this festival, it promotes the excellence of its local specialties, ginseng and red ginseng pork, to Korea and the world. Major highlights include the "인맥파티(인삼+맥주)" where visitors enjoy ginseng and beer with EDM music, the "국제청소년페스티벌" with youth participants from Korea and abroad, the "전국인삼골가요제" for all generations, and the "전국버스킹페스티벌" featuring performances in various genres. During the festival, spectacular fireworks light up the sky every day, leaving visitors with unforgettable memories. There are also themed hands-on zones such as the "어린이가족체험존" and "건강체험존", along with farm and specialty product auctions, traveling traditional ssireum, and more, making it an all-senses immersive festival for everyone. As foreign visitors continue to grow each year and the event expands as a global festival, it contributes greatly to promoting local agricultural products and energizing the local economy, and it was selected in 2025 as a promising festival designated by North Chungcheong Province, earning recognition for its value.
