[Official] Katseye postpones more North American shows due to Megan’s concussion

The Detroit show was suddenly canceled a few days ago, and the post made it to the trending page.

But the reason + a statement? came out today, so I thought I’d make a post.

Hope Megan makes a full recovery + the other members stay healthy too,,,!!

1. Megan’s personal statement

To EYEKONS (the fandom name),

I’m so sorry that the Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis shows have been postponed.

I’m currently dealing with a concussion, and I’m doing everything I can to recover so I can get back onstage for you.

I really wanted to do everything I could until the very end to keep the shows on schedule, but my medical team strongly advised me to take the time I need to fully recover and return safely.

I love you all so much, and I’m truly, deeply grateful for your understanding. It breaks my heart that I have to make this decision.

I can’t wait for the day I can make it up to EYEKONS and give you the show you deserve.

2. Katseye’s official statement

As Megan is recovering from a concussion, the agency has decided to postpone the Chicago and Minneapolis shows.

We are so sorry to disappoint our fans.

We know how long you have been looking forward to these shows and that many of you traveled long distances to attend them.

We do not take that lightly, and we sincerely apologize for disappointing you.

Rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as possible, so please hold on to your tickets.

We can’t wait to see you again in both cities.

Thank you for your unwavering love, support, and understanding.

To EYEKONS,

The four of us can’t put into words how sorry we are that the Detroit, Chicago, and Minneapolis shows have been postponed.

We love you all so much, and performing for you is our greatest joy. We never take that opportunity for granted.

There’s something we really want you to know.

The three of us genuinely wanted more than anything to perform for you and share this moment together.

We tried every possible way to go ahead with the shows as three.

Especially because we knew so many of you had traveled long distances for these shows and had been waiting a long time for this moment.

This absolutely did not happen because we lacked the desire or determination to perform.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control and obligations we have to follow, we were unable to go ahead with the shows as three.

This is a huge disappointment for us too. We wanted to be there just as much as you wanted to see us.

We hope you understand that this decision does not reflect just how badly we wanted to make the shows happen and find some way to stand in front of you.

Please send Megan lots of love. We also want you to know that Megan is doing everything possible to recover.

We love you all so much, and we can’t wait for the day we can make it up to you.
